How and why do I need to change `Name Servers`?
You will only need to set or change name servers if you have purchased a domain name yourself and
have registered for A Data 7 Consultancy Web or Email Hosting Package.
The name servers for
your domain name basically need to be changed to point to the Data 7 Consultancy Web & Email servers.
To change these name servers for your domain name, you`ll need to login to your domain name account.
This account information will have been sent to you from the company that you registered your domain name with.
Below are the two name servers you will need to point to our servers:-
- ns1.openhosts.com
- ns2.openhosts.com
N.B. After changing your name servers it will take up to 48 hours for these changes to be complete.
Configuring Outlook For Your Email
Once you have allowed 48 hours for the name server changes to be completed and you have setup the required
email accounts within your hosting account then Outlook/Outlook Express can be
configured to send and receive emails.
For example if your domain name is `www.mydomain.com` and you have setup an
email account for `john.smith` then below is the required settings you`ll need to configure
your Outlook account with:-

- Incoming server: mail.mydomain.com (Where mydomain.com is the domain name your purchased)
- Outgoing server: mail.mydomain.com
- Email address: john.smith@mydomain.com
- Password is: (The password used when setting up `john.smith` email account)
Webmail
Assumiing your domain name is `www.mydomain.com` and you have setup an
email account for `john.smith` then you can view your emails via Webmail using the
below:-
:-
- Website Address: HTTP://mail.mydomain.com
- Email address: john.smith@mydomain.com
- Password is: (The password used when setting up `john.smith` email account)
